Where do the shop doors take me?
Through clicking on the doors you can virtually access the fabulous shops of the infamous King Street of Newtown Sydney. For the first time you are able to embrace the cosmopolitan shopping experience from the comfort of your own home! Furthermore now you can access exclusive deals using a Savings Card.

Does onkingstreet take me direct to local branches?
By clicking on the doors you enter the current website of the specific store. Depending on how widespread the brand is you may or may not access the local branch.

Why isn't a Door or Sign clickable?
This means they are not online yet or have closed down, there are no info sites about the venue, and/or no good equivalent available, sorry. Please let us know if this is not the case so we can update.

How to I disable/enable the real Street Sounds?
The authentic background noise of the street is switched off or on using the 'audio speaker' icon in the tab above the streetscape panel.

How do I navigate the Street?
You navigate the street by using your arrow keys left and right or by moving your mouse in the direction you want to travel. To walk on different sections of the street just click the buttons above the steet map.

What's the point of shopping here instead of through search engines?

  1. 1.Don't you find search engines rather clinical? All that text doesn't exactly stimulate the senses. We believe Internet shopping should be a rich user experience, and that is what we deliver -- the sights & sounds of real world shopping, minus the hassle.

  3. 3.Many people prefer that real street experience. There are streets we know and love, and we know where their favourite shops are and how they look. With us you can still go there, without the heavy bags & traffic jams of course.
  4. 4.Better still, there are millions of people around the world who may never get the chance to stroll down the famous streets we feature. Now they can scroll down them almost instantly, travelling 100s of miles in a few seconds. We hope we're doing our small bit to bring people around the world closer together, and hope you enjoy the experience.

How do I subscribe to savings card?
Subscribing to savings card is simple and FREE just follow the following link www.savingscard.com.au

Do you accept payment in my currency?
We don't actually take any payments ourselves. Instead when you walk through shop doors you will enter the shop's very own online store, and you can make payment to them via credit card in your own currency.

So how can I find out the opening hours of the store?
You mean you actually want the crowds, hassle, and parking meters? If the shop sign doesn't give this info when clicked, go through the door and click the 'Store Locator' (or similar) link on the page we transport you to. Click it and enter the town or city/post or zip code and you will usually find opening hours, maps, phone numbers, etc.

Why aren't there more streets yet?
It's a big process to create a photo-realistic panorama of a real street.
